Glasgow Green has witnessed centuries of history, but the city’s oldest public park continues to evolve. The latest stage of its development is the creation of the new Glasgow National Hockey Centre. Specially designed to host the Glasgow 2014 Hockey competition, the facility will consist of two synthetic hockey pitches, as well as athlete and official support areas. There are permanent stands to seat 500 spectators and an additional 4,500 temporary seats will be added for the Games.
